It is non-volatile with excellent plasticizing flame retardant properties, oil resistance, electrical insulation, and ease of processing. While insoluble in water, it dissolves seamlessly in benzene, alcohol, ether, vegetable oil, mineral oil, and various organic solvents. This product serves as a critical plasticizer for vinyl resin and nitrocellulose, enhancing the flexibility of paint films. It exhibits outstanding intermiscibility with synthetic rubber, PVC, polyester, polyolefin, and soft polyurethane foam plastics. It also acts as a flame retardant and can be utilized in electronic potting glue for polyurethane.
